Hoo. Ray.

I admit it.  I am glad glad glad to see this month come to an end.

There’s some crazy wind blowing outside, and snow squalling around patches of sunlight.  Watching things blow around my front yard, watching the tops of the neighbor’s trees bending and twisting, I imagine the winds to be literal winds of change, blowing out the miserable hoodoo that’s bitten deep into this month.  This makes me happy.

January 2013, don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.  Come on, February!  Bring it home!  Momma needs a new burst of positive energy.

  1. I could not have said this any better than you just did!!
I read your post a couple of weeks ago about the loss of your dad and want to send hugs and wishes for your peace and comfort.

Thank you so much. My boyfriend and I celebrated just after midnight on Feb. 1. I know it’s an arbitrary marker and who knows what the next day brings, but emotionally…enough, already. XO

But, what did the groundhog say? As the all knowing arbiter of these sorts of things–Did he or didn’t he? (See his shadow. that is)
